Many people will try to find in Google Knol what Google Knol is unable to be.
Google Knol has no editing staff, so it cannot be considered as an encyclopaedia, with the usual content coverage.
Google Knol is a platform inviting everybody to post articles on cultural and scientific subjects. Apart of Squidoo I am not so sure that such type of platform existed previously on a wide extent.
This is a huge progress, in terms of giving cultural concerns the capability to make a come back after having been neglected during so many years.
Google Knol is also an opportunity to anonymous Wikipedia authors to be unveiled and sign their content.
I feel that Google Knol and Wikipedia cannot be reasonably compared. Let us take the best of both.
