Knol Roll

The network for Google Knol Authors to collaborate, learn, and share...

After much struggle and experimentation I have published my first knol. So I know how to do that now...

Note : If anyone has trouble trying to upload a drawing or graph, try this...
(1) Make a good copy of the drawing on a laser printer.
(2) Scan the laser print as True Color (16.7 million colors).
(3) Save the scan on your hard drive as a Jpeg (*jpg) file.
(4) Then upload the file with the "upload image" knol tool.

My problem now is that the only way i can find my knol (other than going to my knols) is to go to the knol home page and type "NEGATIVE MONO-POLES" in the "knol search"... If I use the title of my knol "GRAVITY : HOW MASS ATTRACTS MASS", the search finds nothing.

How do I get my knol to show up when someone searchs for it ?... How do I get a "web address" that i can give to people so they can find it ?

I have surfed the help sites a bit, and I think the problem might be that i need people to "review" my knol, before it will show up in a search... But how can people review it if they can"t find it ?... If the problem is that i need people to review my knol, I ask anyone who reads this to please review my knol... If it helps, i will review your knol...

thanks

Seeger Carbajal, yes at the moment you Knol will disappear into cyberspace. However, depending upon your topic or the quality of your Knol, Search engines will, within a few weeks pick it up. I have found mine on Google Search. But you can also try to promote yourself among Knol fans, because otherwise it may be considered SPAM.

I am attempting to start a Google Group where I try to create interest, where we can make short excerpts of our Knol or to briefly discuss it others thereby promoting it among Knol enthusiasts, or to mention it on Knol forums. My promotional site, in its infancy is here:

Well probably would help (review), but have you checked if your knol has been crawled and indexed by google? that is usually a factor, if you want your knol to appear on knol's internal search or for search engines in general for that matter.

anyway, i could review your knol, if you could also do the same for mine..

here is my knol page Comprehensive Background Check Information: The Myths and Facts

Hey Seeger. I'm in The Hague visiting Ben, his wife Ania and my first grandchild Annabel. Kathy and I divorced in 1981. She died in 2000. I remarried in 1984, Jean, two stepchildren for me--youngest is an artist, grad of the Art Institute of Chicago and has had a VERY weird trip indeed.
How are you doing? Thailand. Hope you are not downwind of burning fields.

I'll check this site occasionally and see if you are still using it. P
