Search Facility now operational in Knol

The search facility is now working in Google Knol - until today, one had to be logged in to locate Knols that one had added. Now, you can find content even when not logged in.

I agree this article of you on Russian is findable, but I can't find your knol about "Thank you" in Russian via the search function.

Did you confirm your profile by phone number or credit card as offered as the two only possibilities ? or didn't you ?

Still finding people who are disappointed their knols aren't findable... I created a knol on webosophy today, but it isn't findable neither...

Yes, the search does seem inconsistent - I can't find the 'Russian Thank you' Knol unless I am logged in.

I think this is one of the most critical issues for Knol in its early days - when people can't even find their own content, they are really going to question whether it is worth contributing anything!

I have not confirmed my profile by phone or credit card as these features are still only available for those in the USA. I write a blog at 'Digital Biographer' which was critical about that issue ( and a few others) on Thursday.

It is good to know. Being Beta, I assume there will be lots of improvements to come. I will await these with anticipation. At the moment I do not have a lot of confidence with knolling even though I have posted one knol without any delays or hiccups. But I am just watching to see what the other problems are. I have been using Google Docs for some time now for practically the same purpose.
