Share 'Google has only indexed around 1650 Knols'

When answering a query from someone who was frustrated not to find his Knols were putting his knowledge into search results, I found that there are only around 1650 Knols currently in Google's search database. I used this search in Google: EDITED to start from the root directory of where knols are. That link keeps getting corrupted - here is is in plain text - http://www.google.com/search?q=s...
