Betsy A. Foster 'Letting Go'

IT'S MY LATE FIANCE'S 5TH BIRTHDAY TODAY SINCE HIS DEATH TO LIVER CANCER ON 11/02/02. NO MATTER HOW MUCH I TRY NOT TO LET IT, THE ANNIVERSARY DATES SEEM TO ALWAYS BOTHER ME. AND TODAY WAS NO EXCEPTION. RIGHT BEFORE MIDNIGHT I BEGAN TO FEEL SOME ANGER, HOW DARE HE LEAVE ME HERE TO… Continue

Pierre Tavlitzki Let us build together a knol on Art History

When the quantity of your knols increases we can together publish a knol named Art History where your knols and your lenses will be linked. The place of your subject within art history may be commented by myself in the knol. Any knol related to art, culture or civilization comes into the scope of this proposal. Continue

Dvorah Lansky Can we "favorite" Knol posts?

Hi, I was reading a most interesting Knol (or do we call it a "Knol Post"?) the other day and wanted to come back to it. Is there any way to "favorite" Knol posts? Is there a group or discussion going on here as to our favorite Knol links? glad to be here. D Continue

D Caikoski What Happened To The Other Groups?

When I joined Knoll Roll, there was a group set up for Squidoo'ers with Knolls, so I submitted my admittance to it also. Has this been deleted? I know of a few Squidoo Lensmasters that have made Knolls, and have made a lens to list them, although I'll probably have to track each one down personally, since I only have 2 Knolls listed so far. Manuel Viloria To Knol Or Not To Knol

Yes, that is the question. Since we only have so many hours in a day, do we publish our articles in our own web sites, or do we spread them around in places like Knol, Squidoo, Hubpages, or even EzineArticles? Perhaps it's easier for first-time bloggers who do not yet have their own domain or web site: publish in "free" sites, and then move towards self-hosting (while maintaining what has already been started elsewhere). David Petherick [Digital Biographer] Knol News now on Social Median

I've created a News Channel on Social Media, which has just gone into public beta today. Among other sources, it of course adds news from Knol Roll. I have been using the Alpha release of Social Median for a few months, and it's a very useful tool. Take a look: http://www.socialmedian.com/network/google-knol-news

David Petherick [Digital Biographer] 'The Knol' is already Rolling at Squidoo!

Interestingly, the Google knol on insomnia that was used when announcing Knol In December 2007 also appears in a Squidoo Lens by Seth Godin, and coming across this just while writing this article, when I searched (through google) for Insomnia Knol, I saw that Squidoo has unveiled a SquidKnol Project which is a template for data to be entered.…

David Petherick [Digital Biographer] 'Knol not one of Google’s “urgent” projects?' - ZDNet Googling Google Blog

Garret Rogers writes at ZDnet's 'Googling Google' that the Knol announcement a month ago was just designed to deflect attention from Wikia Search - which, now that it's been seen to be very early and basic, the knol project is not such a high priority.

See ZDNet Blog at http://blogs.zdnet.com/Google/?p=890

What do you make of this?

David Petherick [Digital Biographer] Knol is on a Roll: Has Google created a new economy for online authors?

Google. They keep doing this. Coming up with a large-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare events beyond the realm of normal expectations…

So, here is the next Black Swan from Google:- a highly improbable event that is unpredictable, will have massive impact, and which, after it has happened, we’ll all pretend we could have seen it coming. This is Google Knol - encouraging people to contribute knowledge.

Many mainstream media observers see this as Google’s a direct challen…
