Cristine Culver A Time to Give Back

It was during summer two years ago when my friends and I decided to do something different in our vacation. After saving money from our allowances and part time jobs, we decided to join a charity institution and went to Ethiopia that summer. We were overwhelmed at how the little kids welcome us with bright smiles on their innocent faces. I guess the time we spent with them was more valuable than the food we cooked or the clothes we brought for them. Luckily, I have a teaching coursework ever… Continue

Lois Gedder Writer Quotes

It took me fifteen years to discover I had no talent for writing, but I couldn't give it up because by that time I was too famous. ~Robert Benchley No man should ever publish a book until he has first read it to a woman. ~Van Wyck Brooks The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shockproof shit detector. This is the writer's radar and all great writers have had it. ~Ernest Hemingway, interview in Paris Review, Spring 1958 The two most engaging powers of an author are to mContinue

Margareth Osju Cyberworld, a visual perception of the real world.

Photobucket Bloggillustration: Visual perception of the real world. I like cyberworld, because this world is nothing more than a visual perception of the real world. The different is that you never know exactly who is behind the words. Well, how many of us don't talk with someone and next day you notice that the story sound a… Continue

Dvorah Lansky Can we "favorite" Knol posts?

D Caikoski What Happened To The Other Groups?

When I joined Knoll Roll, there was a group set up for Squidoo'ers with Knolls, so I submitted my admittance to it also. Has this been deleted? I know of a few Squidoo Lensmasters that have made Knolls, and have made a lens to list them, although I'll probably have to track each one down personally, since I only have 2 Knolls listed so far. Manuel Viloria To Knol Or Not To Knol

Yes, that is the question. Since we only have so many hours in a day, do we publish our articles in our own web sites, or do we spread them around in places like Knol, Squidoo, Hubpages, or even EzineArticles? Perhaps it's easier for first-time bloggers who do not yet have their own domain or web site: publish in "free" sites, and then move towards self-hosting (while maintaining what has already been started elsewhere).
