Knol News now on Social Median

I've created a News Channel on Social Media, which has just gone into public beta today. Among other sources, it of course adds news from Knol Roll. I have been using the Alpha release of Social Median for a few months, and it's a very useful tool. Take a look: http://www.socialmedian.com/network/google-knol-news

'The Knol' is already Rolling at Squidoo!

Interestingly, the Google knol on insomnia that was used when announcing Knol In December 2007 also appears in a Squidoo Lens by Seth Godin, and coming across this just while writing this article, when I searched (through google) for Insomnia Knol, I saw that Squidoo has unveiled a SquidKnol Project which is a template for data to be entered.…

Hi David

Thank you for joining Ning'ers.
I registered you as an administrator of the Ning'ers group. You do not need to ask for my authorization if you wish to change anything there.

Thank you also for all the news and links now available on this network concerning Knol and Squidoo. Very useful indeed.

Best regards

Pierre

Thanks for the welcome! I must admit I am not yet completely getting the Zen of Knol, but I'm sure I will figure it out with the help of this network. I wrote two tonight but am not sure if they should be there.

Thanks for the welcome to the forum. I'm hoping being a part of this group will enable me to stay on top of how to be an effective Knol contributor.

I've already written 11 Knols about the Spanish language. Like other Knol authors, I've noticed that not all of them are showing up publicly, at least not yet.

Do you suggest that we submit as many Knols as we can as fast as we can? Or do you recommend people submitting them in stages? It seems to me like this is the beginning of a digital land rush and I want to get in on the ground floor of it. But on the other hand, I don't want to invest tons of time in something that isn't going to pay off down the road, which is what I'm concerned about when I see that my knols aren't visible, even with using popular SEO terms.

Thanks for giving me the heads up. I now have 3 knols up and will be working 24/7 today to add more content.

Why I believe it is worth devoting time to this is because it is a Google initiative and unlike many others will be here to stay
A search on Google for google knol already brings up 3,010,000 replies!

It's not perfect but I guess you are not complaining as a search for "google knol spain" gave me

Don't we just love the web?

If you want to comment on my knols Jávea, Torrevieja, Expat Life in Spain I would be grateful.

Kind Regards
Steve

Hi David !

I am pleased to inform you that my French network
http://encheres.ning.com is now fully operational.

My next step is to restart the English network (where you are a member) http://artnings.ning.com and to establish bridges between Groups of both networks. It may take a few days.

Best regards

Hi David !
Open association is the key.
Open association with editing guidelines is even a stronger key.
My topics fit perfectly with that. I now have to demonstrate it.
My idea for going forward is to open a shadow network on Ning in order to show you and the Knol Roll members (and why not also Ning staff) how an open association on World Art Auction may work.
Let us co-operate very closely ; if it fits your requirements you shall afterwards use it as one of your prototypes or models.

Best regards
Pierre
